Most VR headsets have a recommended minimum age \u2014 it's worth discussing this with parents ahead of time, not finding out after a complaint. The same goes for session length: too much continuous time in a headset tires a child out more than it seems from the outside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
VR is usually sold in fixed-length sessions \u2014 time in the headset is easy to clock and easy to control, if the time is tracked by a system rather than eyeballed by an employee. It seems like VR is just \"put on the headset and play,\" but someone has to explain the controls, watch that the child doesn't bump into people around them (movements in VR games can be sharper than they look from outside), and end the session on time.
