Over 20 years of industry experience

Many rental points have something small on the side, alongside the main business: coffee and snacks for parents, shoe covers or socks at the entrance, souvenirs. That's still the point's money, and RentOS has a separate module for it — "Products," built into the same till instead of being a separate system next to it.

One Catalog for Every Point

Products are set up once for the whole business — name, photo, price, category — and are instantly available at every point. A seller on shift just searches for the item by name or scrolls through categories: coffee, drinks, food — and sells it in a couple of taps.

Stock Levels — Soft, Not Blocking

Every sale lowers the calculated stock level at the point. If it goes to zero or negative, the system just warns instead of blocking the sale: life doesn't always match the numbers day by day. From time to time the Owner (or an employee, if allowed) runs a revision — enters the actual count for each category, and the system shows exactly where the calculation drifted from reality and evens the number out.

An Order Can Be Deferred and Returned to Later

A cart doesn't have to be paid for right away — it can be set aside and picked up again later, like an open tab at a table: say, a guest grabs a coffee and pays before leaving, along with everything else. A deferred order gets its own short number, can be revisited and added to, and closes either with a payment or a full cancellation — it never stays hanging forever.

Its Own, Separate Till Reconciliation

Products are sold at the point level as a whole, not tied to a specific zone — which is why they're reconciled separately from zones' "Results Submission," not as part of it. At any moment you can tap "Reconcile Till": the system shows the calculated revenue since the last reconciliation, and then you just enter how much cash and non-cash was actually collected — the difference shows up immediately, following the same principle as everywhere else in the system: the calculation stays separate, the actual fact stays separate, nothing gets auto-filled.

One Till for the Whole Business

Revenue from products doesn't live somewhere separate from the rentals — it drops straight into the point's overall picture: the same daily reports, the same cash balance, the same collections. The Owner doesn't need to keep two different money sources in their head and reconcile them by hand at the end of the month.
