«How much do I have left?» is the most common question at the till. To avoid answering it by hand, the client connects your company's Telegram bot once and then checks the balance themselves, any time.
How to connect a client #
- Find the client in the «Clients» section (or sell them a pass — the success screen shows the same thing).
- Click «Balance in Telegram» — a QR code will appear.
- The client points their phone camera at it and the bot opens. They press the button «Share my number» — и всё.
From then on the bot shows them the balance on request and sends a notification itself on every change: a pass was topped up, a visit was charged — the client sees it without any involvement from you.
Why the «Share my number» button specifically #
This way Telegram itself confirms that the number belongs to that account. If the number were typed in as text, anyone could enter someone else's and see their balance. For the same reason the bot links a chat to a wallet only on a reliable number match — in a doubtful case it will create a separate wallet rather than show someone else's money.
What to Do If… #
…у клиента уже подключён бот? Then there will be no QR button for them — the app does not offer to connect what is already connected. In the client list such clients are marked with an icon.
…клиент сменил номер? Add their new number as a new client and transfer the balance — the wallet is tied to the number, that is its key.
…бот показывает не тот баланс? Most likely the person has two wallets: for example, the number was once written with the country code and once without. Find both in the client list and keep one.
